FISCAL GAP CHALLENGE TASK FORCE – CALL FOR MEMBERS

The City of Dawson Creek is looking for individuals interested in participating as a member of the City’s Fiscal Gap Challenge Task Force.

The mandate of the Task Force is to develop a policy framework for the City’s long term fiscal sustainability, and the objective is for Dawson Creek to have the capacity to finance services, programs, capital investment and debt obligations in the future without imposing unfair burdens on future generations.  To the extent that downsizing of municipal services in Dawson Creek is necessary, the framework will establish guidelines as to what level of service is required to meet the future needs of the community and its residents.   

Interested citizens are encouraged to contact City Administration at 250.784.3636 for more information about this task force, and are required to submit a letter of application summarizing their background experience along with any additional information that will assist in the selection of candidates. 

Applications marked “Fiscal Gap Task Force” should be submitted no later than 4:30 pm on July 31st to:
