A public information open house will be held March 11th at City Hall from 1:00 – 4:00 pm. The purpose of this open house is to present information on the background of the proposed bylaw and discuss potential impacts.
A Public Hearing will be held on March 17th at City Hall at 8:30 am. Any member of the public who feels they may be affected by the proposed changes to the Zoning Bylaw may comment at that time.
Written comments may be submitted before noon on March 12th to be included in the public hearing agenda.
Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 4204, 2014, proposes to amend the zoning bylaw in the following manner:
- Deletes the option of including secondary suites in duplexes;
- Amends the formula that calculates the maximum potential floor area of a suite to 40% of the above grade floor area;
- Inserts a requirement for a dedicated, independent parking space for a secondary suite.
