As part of the City’s regular infrastructure maintenance program, Council approved a condition assessment for the 10th Street bridge. The assessment was to look at the current condition of the bridge, any recommended maintenance, and options for future replacement. After the initial inspection of the bridge by the City’s consultant engineer, it was determined a load rating should be calculated for the bridge structure. The City wishes to advise the travelling public that there will be signage installed the week of September 28th restricting traffic crossing the 10th Street Bridge to a maximum of 12,000 kg GVW.
