Project No. 2049.027 – 2015 Sanitary Sewer Improvements

The City of Dawson Creek invites tenders for upgrades to an existing section of sanitary sewer piping. The section of existing sanitary sewer extends from Mile 0 Rotary Lake Park to the intersection of 17th St. and 99th Ave. The sanitary sewer will direct flows by gravity to the trunk sewer on 17th St. The scope of the work consists of replacement of the existing 1,336m of 300mm diameter vitrified clay tile sanitary sewer with new 450mm diameter DR 35 PVC sewer.

The project will also include :

  • Tie into and re-benching of manholes;
  • Supply and installation of 11 sanitary services to property line;
  • Supply and installation of two new manhole chambers.

Within these works, approximately 30 metres of the gravity sanitary sewer is constructed beneath Highway 97 (John Hart Highway) requiring jacking pits and carrier pipe crossing of approximately 20 and 30 metres in length respectively. All works include pipeline testing, asphalt, boulevard restoration and associated appurtenances.

The project substantial completion date is September 11, 2015. All prices shall be good for the completion of the work.

An optional tenderer’s site meeting will be held on June 2, 2015  June 9, 2015 at 1:00 pm at City Hall, Dawson Creek (10105-12A Street).
