HOURLY RATE:               $25.86 (after probation $28.73)

The City of Dawson Creek invites applications for casual climbing wall attendant(s). Under the direction of the Recreation Manager, Aquatics Coordinator, or designate, the Climbing Wall Attendant is responsible for the operation and safety supervision of the climbing wall. The shifts will vary and will be scheduled Monday through Sunday.

Successful candidates must be minimum 19 years of age and have prior climbing experience. A condition of employment will be successful completion of the City of Dawson Creek climbing wall attendant training.

A demonstrated teaching ability, current first aid certification, and a flexible schedule will be considered assets. Successful applicants will be required to complete and submit a Security/Reliability Clearance and a Criminal Record Search, the results of which must be satisfactory to the City.

The successful applicants must have the ability to perform all duties in a safe manner following established procedures and have the ability to maintain harmonious relationships with all members of the public and other staff members. Physical agility, the ability to complete duties requiring physical effort and a proven ability to provide excellent service to the public are also required.
