The City of Dawson Creek invites applications for an Equipment Operator 1 in the Infrastructure Department. This is a full time position, starting as soon as possible.

Under the direction of the Director of Infrastructure, Roads & Grounds Manager, Utilities Manager, or designate, the successful candidate will operate machinery and equipment including single axle dump trucks.

The successful candidate will have completed Grade 12 or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid Class 3 Driver’s Licence with air brake endorsement and a clean driver’s abstract are requirements of the position. Candidates should also demonstrate understanding of basic electrical and mechanical processes and be able to recognize problems related to the operation of the equipment. The ability to maintain harmonious relationships with all members of the public and other staff members while following established procedures is also required.
