NOTICE OF PROPERTY DISPOSITION, PUBLIC CONSULTATION & PUBLIC HEARING FOR PROPOSED OCP & ZONING AMENDMENT

TAKE NOTICE a Public Consultation will be held at 8:30 a.m., immediately followed by a Public Hearing in Council Chambers, City Hall, Dawson Creek, B.C. on Monday, February 20, 2017.  Any member of the public, who feels they may be affected by the proposed changes to the City’s Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 4042 or Zoning Bylaw No. 4115, or by the transfer of land to the Notre Dame Parish may comment at that time. Written comments received before noon on February 10th will be included on the meeting agendas.

OCP Amendment Bylaw No. 4339, 2017 proposes to re-designate the properties located at 913 – 104th Avenue and 908, 912 and 916 – 105th Avenue, shown on the map with a dash outline, from Residential to Institutional.  Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 4340, 2017 proposes to rezone the properties located at 913 – 104th Avenue and 908 – 105th Avenue, shown on the map as crosshatched, from RM-2 (Residential – Medium Density Multiple Family) to P-1 (Institutional – Public Zone).

 

The City also intends to sell the 390.1 sq. m. portion of lane, shown on the map in solid black, to Notre Dame Parish in exchange for the 222.9 sq. m portion of lane, shown on the map in dots, plus $14,300 which is the value of the loss of City owned land.  The portion of lane shown in solid black on the map is proposed to be designated as Institutional and zoned as P-1 (Institutional – Public Zone).

 

The purpose of OCP Bylaw Amendment Bylaw 4339, Zoning Amendment Bylaw 4340, and Laneway Closure and Removal of Dedication Bylaw 4341 is to allow the amalgamation of following lots with the current property commonly known as Notre Dame School.
