With the warmer temperatures coming this weekend and into next week, City staff have been busy preparing for snow melt. Crews have spent all week clearing major drainage channels, opening culverts, and steaming catchbasins in anticipation of the water starting to flow. We will have crews out all weekend continuing this work.
The City works hard to ensure that any drainage off roadways or in ditches does not impact private property, but we are not responsible for drainage that originates from a neighboring property.
As we see more melting and water on roadways, there will be the likelihood of potholes developing. Please be cautious when driving through standing water as you may not be able to see what lies underneath. You can report potholes here , email firstname.lastname@example.org or call Public Works at 250-784-3623, or City Hall at 250-784-3600. After hours call can be directed to 250-782-9898.
