Dawson Creek Regional Airport Restaurant Operations

2017-44 Addendum #1

The City of Dawson Creek invites proposals from individuals or corporations interested in leasing and operating the restaurant at the Dawson Creek Regional Airport for a three year term.

All documents are available through the City of Dawson Creek website. The Proponent is solely responsible for ensuring any addenda are downloaded, reviewed, and included in their bid. Inquiries regarding this Request for Proposals or requests for site access may be directed to Airport Manager Patrick Sihota at psihota@dawsoncreek.ca or 250-782-3142.

Proponents must refer to the RFP Documents for the terms governing the submission and selection process. The City reserves the right to accept or reject all or any proposals and to waive any informality, incompleteness or error in any proposal. It is the sole responsibility of the proponent to ensure that its proposal is received at the location and by the time stipulated.  Proposals received after the stipulated time will be rejected and returned to the proponent unopened.  Faxed proposals are not acceptable and will be rejected.

Proposals, sealed in an opaque envelope and clearly marked with the proponent’s name and address and the project name, will be accepted up to 2:00 p.m. (local time) December 1, 2017 by:

2017-44 Airport Restaurant RFP

2017-43 Request for Proposals – Audit Services

The City of Dawson Creek (the “City”) is requesting proposals from qualified professional consultants or firms that are licensed to perform public sector audits according to relevant legislation and professional standards, to complete audit services on an annual basis. The Proponent will be responsible to:

  • Perform an annual audit in accordance with Canadian generally accepted auditing standards and the provisions of the Community Charter;
  • Provide an audit opinion on the consolidated financial statements and the supplementary information on the financial position and operating results of the individual funds of the City;
  • Attend meetings with City staff for the planning and review of both the audit process and the financial statements;
  • Respond to, and discuss with, City staff any accounting, auditing or tax related issues arising during the contracted period of audit services.

2017-41 Invitation to Tender – Friesen Subdivision Sewer Connection

Tender awarded to G. Baumeister Ltd. for the bid price of $438,209 (plus GST). Thank you to those who submitted a bid.

Sealed tenders clearly marked “City of Dawson Creek – Friesen Subdivision Sewer Connection” will be received by the City of Dawson Creek up to 2:00 p.m., (local time), Monday, September 14th, 2017, at 10105 – 12A Street, Dawson Creek, BC  V1G 3V7 where a Public Tender Opening will take place.

 

The work consists of the following work:

  • Supply and install approximately 425 meters of 200 mm PVC sanitary sewer main, supply and install 6 manholes including one outside drop manhole, and tie into existing systems.
  • Supply and install approximately 50 meters of 75 mm PVC sanitary sewer, two 75 mm valves and tie into existing system.
  • Supply and install approximately 25 meters of 400 mm PVC water main between a vault and the existing treatment plant.

 

Contract documents, contract drawing and any reference material for this project will only be distributed electronically in digital format (PDF) through the MERX tendering website at www.MERX.com under the “Agencies, Crown & Private Corporations” tab. Information will be available online on or after August 28th, 2017.

 

No registration, tracking or other recording of tender document holders will be performed by the Owner or Contract Administrator.  All addenda, amendments or further information will be published on the MERX website.  It is the sole responsibility of the Tenderer to monitor the website regularly to check for updates.  Tenders must be accompanied by the required Tender Surety specified in the Tender Documents.

2017-40 RFQ Airport Motor Grader

Tender awarded to Brandt Tractor for the bid price of $295,000 (plus tax). Thank you to those who submitted a bid.

The City of Dawson Creek is requesting quotations for a 2017 Motor Grader for use at the Dawson Creek Regional Airport.

Specifications can be downloaded at BC Bid. The proponent is solely responsible for ensuring any addenda are downloaded, reviewed, and included in their bid. Questions regarding specifications can be directed to Kevin Henderson, Director of Development Services at khenderson@dawsoncreek.ca.    

Quotations shall be prepared and submitted at the sole expense of the proponent and without cost to the Corporation of the City of Dawson Creek.  All quotations received by the City of Dawson Creek Director of Corporate Administration become the property of the Corporation of the City of Dawson Creek and as such are subject to the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
