New federal regulations require that all operators of motorized boats and personal watercraft obtain a “Pleasure Craft Operator Card” in accordance with the standards and guidelines set by the Canadian Coast Guard. This program offers the boater an opportunity to learn about many aspects of safe boating including: navigation regulations and “rules of the road”, responding to emergencies, and the knowledge of operating pleasure craft (eg. safety equipment, loading limits, buoys, beacons, weather and fuelling procedures).
Stop by the pool and:
- Purchase a BOAT Study Guide
- Come back to the pool on Wednesdays between 7:00-8:00pm to write the exam. (No need to book a time, but check our hours of operation to make sure we’re open).
Cost: $51.72 (includes your exam and candidate fee)
