Under the general supervision of the Aquatics Coordinator or designate, a lifeguard/instructor performs life guarding and instructing functions at the swimming pool as well as minor maintenance. The rate of pay for this position is $26.04/hr.
The successful applicants must demonstrate ability and possess the following current qualifications:- Current National Lifeguard Award (Pool Option);- Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification;- CPR Level
2013-26 Lifeguard In Training
The City of Dawson Creek invites applications for casual Lifeguard in Training positions at the Kenn Borek Aquatic Centre. Under the general supervision of the Aquatics Coordinator or designate, a lifeguard in training performs life guarding and instructing functions at the swimming pool as well as minor maintenance. The training position is an entry-level position with no previous experience as a lifeguard/instructor required. The rate of pay for this position is $24.08/hr.

2013-25 Water Slide Attendant
The City of Dawson Creek invites applications for casual on-call Water Slide Attendant positions. Under the direction of the Recreation Facilities Manager, Aquatics Coordinator, or designate, the Water Slide Attendant is responsible for the supervision of the water slide and change room checks. Water Slide attendants may assist with special events such as birthday parties and other special events as operationally required. The shifts will vary and will be scheduled Monday through Sunday. 2013-24 Aquatic Maintenance
The City of Dawson Creek invites applications for casual part time Aquatics Maintenance operators. Under the close supervision of the Aquatics Maintenance Operator or the Aquatics Coordinator, and the general supervision of the Recreation Facilities Manager, this person helps to maintain all building systems related to the operation of the Swimming Pool. This position will cover week-end and statutory holiday shifts, as well as vacation and sick leave shifts.
Pool Operators' Level 2 certification is required.

2013-23 Climbing Wall Attendant
The City of Dawson Creek invites applications for part time climbing wall attendant positions. Under the direction of the Recreation Facilities Manager, Aquatics Coordinator, or designate, the Climbing Wall Attendant is responsible for the operation and safety supervision of the climbing wall. The shifts will vary and will be scheduled Monday through Sunday.
Successful candidates must be minimum 19 years of age and have prior climbing experience. A condition of employment will be successful completion of the City of Dawson Creek
2013-22 – RCMP Guard – Casual on Call Position
The City of Dawson Creek invites applications for a casual RCMP Guard position. This is a casual position to be called in as-needed, to cover staff absences. The rate of pay is $25.77 per hour after probation. Under the Direction of the Detachment Commander, Office Manager or designate, the Guard is responsible for the care and monitoring of prisoners within the cells.
The successful applicants will have a Grade 12 education or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic computer skills are required
