The City of Dawson Creek invites applications for a permanent full-time (40 hrs/wk) Aquatic Clerk.  Under the general direction of the Recreation Manager, the Aquatic Clerk is responsible for keyboarding, cashiering, reception and clerical work, including graphic design projects, while serving the public in the Kenn Borek Aquatic Centre, and other related duties as assigned.  This position will be scheduled to meet operational needs Saturday to Friday, including morning, evening and weekend shifts.


The successful applicant must be efficient in computer use and programs, in particular, the Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Publisher. Accurate keyboard/typing skills of 40 WPM, the ability to receive cash, issue receipts and make change accurately and promptly are required. The successful applicant will be required to complete a Criminal Record Search, the results of which must be satisfactory to the City. The successful applicant will have the ability to perform all duties in a safe manner and the ability to maintain harmonious relationships with all members of the public and other staff members.
