The City of Dawson Creek invites applications for a full-time Facilities Maintenance position.  Under the general supervision of the Parks and Facilities Manager or designate, this position performs a variety of duties related to the maintenance of City owned buildings.

Minimum requirements include the following:

  • BC Trade Qualification in a construction related field (carpentry preferred, red seal endorsement an asset);
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Ability to obtain Security/Reliability Clearance.

The successful applicant will have the ability to perform all duties in a safe manner and the ability to maintain harmonious relationships with all members of the public and other staff members.  Physical agility, the ability to complete duties requiring physical effort and a proven ability to provide excellent service to the public are also required. The ability to coordinate and work cooperatively with contractors, and the ability to act independently exercising judgment will be considered assets.
