City of Dawson Creek – Corporate COVID-19 Safety Plan
To keep our customers and staff safe and to help reduce the potential for COVID-19 spread, established guidelines will be posted and facility configuration may be changed. We encourage everyone to review the posted signage to ensure health measures are maintained.
General Health Guidelines from the BC Centre for Disease Control (BC CDC) and Northern Health:
- Sneezing or Coughing? Cover it. Cough or sneeze into your elbow or cover your mouth and nose with a disposable tissue. Remember to wash and dry your hands after coughing or sneezing.
- Avoid touching your face. Viruses can live on your hands for up to 5 minutes and on hard surfaces for up to 2 days.
- Physical Distancing. When outside of your home, keep two metres (six feet) away from others.
- Sick? Stay home. Self isolate from others as soon as you have any symptoms. If you’re not at home when a symptom develops, go home immediately and self isolate. Call your doctor or the Northern Health COVID-19 Online Clinic: 1-844-645-7811.
- Hand hygiene. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at lease 20 seconds; if soap isn’t available, use hand sanitizer. Avoid touching surfaces that other people touch often.
