Notice of Permissive Exemption for Permissive Tax Exemption Bylaw No. 4570, 2023

Section 224 of the Community Charter provides that a Council may, by bylaw, exempt land or improvements or both that are owned or held by a charitable, philanthropic or other not for profit corporation and that Council considers are used for a purpose that is directly related to the purposes of the corporation.

2023 UBCM Convention

The City of Dawson Creek Council and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) attended the annual Union of BC Municipalities (UBCM) Convention from September 18-22, 2023. October 1-7, 2023 was proclaimed as KidSport week. KidSport provides sport registration grants to more than 3000 financially disadvantaged children annually across British Columbia and more than 31,000 kids annually across Canada.
