The Mile 0 Parks Society (MOPS) opened the new misting pad in the City of Dawson Creek on June 7, 2023 at the Mile 0 Park.
Why was the splash park redone?The old splash park was constantly breaking down and making the system unreliable. It needed significant equipment upgrades. MOPS came to Council on January 9, 2023 (view the Council recording starting at 1:33) with their request to propose switching the splash park to a misting pad.
The new system has less maintenance, which will have less down time...

The guide highlights information on summer activities, programs and events offered by the Community Services Department (Parks & Recreation).

At the Regular Meeting of Council held May 29, 2023, Council proposed to amend the Permissive Tax Exemption Policy. The updated policy was approved and is available for review.
Any member of the public who feels they may be affected by the proposed changes to the City of Dawson Creek’s policy may submit their comments, regarding these proposed amendments, in writing no later than 4:30 PM on June 30, 2023, to Brenda Ginter, Corporate Officer by:
