Mile 0 Park Misting Pad, June 7, 2023

The Mile 0 Parks Society (MOPS) opened the new misting pad in the City of Dawson Creek on June 7, 2023 at the Mile 0 Park.

The old splash park was constantly breaking down and making the system unreliable. It needed significant equipment upgrades. MOPS came to Council on January 9, 2023 (view the Council recording starting at 1:33) with their request to propose switching the splash park to a misting pad.

The City of Dawson Creek Summer Leisure Guide is now out!

The guide highlights information on summer activities, programs and events offered by the Community Services Department (Parks & Recreation).

Proposed Policy Update - Permissive Tax Exemption Policy

At the Regular Meeting of Council held May 29, 2023, Council proposed to amend the Permissive Tax Exemption Policy. The updated policy was approved and is available for review.
