Water Main Break Update (August, 5th 16:00)

Crews will begin repairs on the watermain Monday, August 8th.
 
Please be advised:
💧 Reduced water pressure may be experienced
💧 Water is safe for consumption
💧 Potable Water Sale locations remain open for the weekend
💧 Water reservoir levels are stable, and staff have enacted emergency water distribution plans to maintain levels for fire flows and potable water use

Water Main Break
 
Staff were made aware of a second water main break on the mainline into town. Crews are responding to the situation; however, the extent of the repair is not known at this time.
 
💧 Water is safe for consumption
💧 Some residents may experience reduced water pressure
💧 Water reservoir levels are stable, and staff have enacted emergency water distribution plans to maintain levels for fire flows and potable water use
💧 Residents are asked to reduce unnecessary water use
💧 Potable Water Sale Locations remain open

Rescinded- Emergency Water Restrictions (August 1, 20:30)

Rescinded Emergency Water Restrictions
 
– As of 20:00, City Crews have completed the water main repair and water services have been restored to impacted properties

– If you experience air in your water lines, please allow the tap to run for 3-5 minutes

– Despite the interruption to water services, water quality throughout the City was not compromised at any time. Sampling by the City’s trained and certified Operators has confirmed the new portion of the water main has met water quality standards

Emergency Water Restrictions (Update Aug. 1, 16:30)

⚠️Emergency Water Restriction Update ⚠️
 
Final repairs and water main flushing are underway. Estimated time of completion is 8:00pm.
 
As of 4:30pm, the City is lifting restrictions on laundry, cleaning, and dishes. Your efforts are being noticed, and the City thanks you for reducing the pressure on our potable water system.
 
Until a full rescindment of the ‘Emergency Water Restrictions,’ please continue to limit lawn watering and unnecessary water use.
