Proposed Policy Update: Water Shut-off Policy

At the Regular Meeting of Council held January 9, 2023, Council proposed to amend the Water Shut-off Policy. The changes are shown highlighted in the Proposed Policy Update – Water Shut-off Policy.

Any member of the public who feels they may be affected by the proposed changes to the City of Dawson Creek’s policy may submit comments regarding these proposed amendments, in writing, to:

NOTICE OF PROPOSED PROPERTY DISPOSITION

As required by Section 26 of the Community Charter, the City provides notice that it intends to enter a facility management/lease agreement with the South Peace Health Services Society for the City owned property located at 1608 – 106th Avenue, Dawson Creek, BC.  The purpose of the lease is to provide accommodation for locum health care personnel. 

The Society will provide the City a one time fee of $1.00 for the 5 year agreement beginning on January 20, 2023.  The Society will pay all utility costs for the property and will ensure that the premises are either occupied by locum health care personnel or checked on a daily basis.  The City has agreed to provide a grant equivalent to the 2023 property taxes upon proof of payment by the Society.

Notice of Public Hearing: Proposed Zoning Bylaw Text Amendment

TAKE NOTICE that a Public Hearing will be held beginning at 9:00 a.m., in Council Chambers, City Hall, Dawson Creek, B.C. on Monday, January 9, 2023. Any member of the public who feel they may be affected by the proposed changes to Zoning Bylaw No. 4450, 2020 may comment at the public hearing or may submit comments in writing to agenda@dawsoncreek.ca for inclusion on the Public Hearing agenda by noon on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.

Zoning Amendment Bylaw 4541, 2022 proposes to add the definition of “Farmer’s Market” as a principal use in P-2 Recreation and Culture Zone.

A copy of the proposed ZONING AMENDMENT (22-04) BYLAW NO. 4541, 2022 may be seen between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding statutory holidays, at City Hall, 10105 – 12A Street, Dawson Creek, BC.
