Beyond Basic Zumba
Have you tried Zumba (or want to try it) but are worried about struggling with the steps? Register now for this amazing class where you will be introduced to the basic steps of Zumba to help you be successful! Drop In Running Clinic
This clinic is designed for beginners who would like to be able to go from walking to running in a safe, controlled environment. If there is enough interest, this will become a weekly program. Go to the Schedules Page (scroll down to class schedules) for dates and times.

Drop-In Racewalk Clinic
In this hour long clinic, learn basic techniques to make you walk faster and more efficient with less impact on your joints. Taught by a certified NCCP Coach. Go to the Schedules Page (scroll down to class schedules) for dates and times.

Movement Preparation Workshop *FREE*
The City of Dawson Creek is hosting a Physical Literacy Movement Preparation Coach Workshop on Monday, April 29 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Kin Arena. This course trains you how to instruct dynamic exercises, accelerations, cutting, agility drills and core training for both sides of the body and forward and backwards movements. This course gives you the tools to improve the way your athletes move, reducing the risk of injuries and develop a fully rounded physically literate athlete.

The e-learning modules cover the movement that you will learn and try in the “on field” training. If you have already participated in this training, you can sign-up again as a refresher.

Refrigeration Safety Awareness
If you are Interested in becoming an Arena Attendant, this is the course for you. Course content comprises four sections:
– SECTION 1 BC Refrigeration Safety Legislation including safety regulations, CSA refrigeration code, RSA certificate holder responsibilities, log book use, accident reporting and safety committee.
– SECTION 2-REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS: Basic refrigeration system components, refrigerants and lubricant use and monitoring, safety valves and operating and safety controls.
– SECTION 3-SAFETY EQUIPMENT: accident types and prevention, fire classification and prevention and, emergency breathing apparatus.
– SECTION 4-GENERAL SAFETY: safety alarms and shut down devices, emergency shutdown, evacuation procedures and safe work practices.
