Programs

The goal of the Community Services Department is to restart recreation in a safe and progressive manner wihin a pandemic environment. With playgrounds, tennis courts and outdoor equipment now open, our current focus is on outdoor programming and we have some exciting programs lined up for the summer! 

All programs require registration – no drop in available. When registering for any programs, please review the Program Participant Package, fill out all required forms (found on our recreation forms page). 

Programs are planned using current information and guidelines from provincial agencies and local health authorities. They will look a little different than what you may be used to; please click here to find out what to expect.  

Preschool/Youth Programs

Kangaroo Kids – Sport Fundamentals for Preschoolers (ages 2-5 years)
Through this fun interactive program, children will learn sport skills through play. Games will keep children entertained while incorporating skills such as jumping, throwing, and balance. Parent participation required; one parent per one child participates. No spectators or siblings permitted.

  • We are offering a FREE “Pilot” Session in addition to our regular sessions. Help us test drive the free one-day session! As it is the first time we are implementing new protocols (due to Covid-19) and we want to know if we need to make any adjustments. We hope you can provide feedback after the session!

Mini Sports (Age 2-5 years)
Learn the basic physical literacy skills of baseball and soccer, along with warm up games and activities.  Parent participation required; one child per one parent participates. No spectators or siblings permitted.

Where the Wild Things Are Camp (ages 7½-12 years)
This camp provides daily activities for those that love adventures. Learn how to use a compass, build a shelter, hike a variety of terrain, identify plants and wild animal tracks and know what to do if you are lost in the woods.

Farmington Fairways Gold Camp (ages 7½-12 years)
Camp includes 5 packed days of golf skill development instruction at Farmington Fairways with full round of golf and BBQ on Friday. This DOES NOT INCLUDE travel to and from the fairways and children must bring their own golf clubs. Camp will be running rain or shine; children must bring appropriate clothing for the weather.

“Crush It” Conditioning Camp (ages 7½-17 years)
This summer join us in the journey to becoming a new, healthier you. A Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology certified personal trainer will guide you to help improve your physical abilities with focus on using body weight and small weights to adapt into your long term lifestyle. This program is good for all ranges of abilities including health beginners. Create a goal and crush it this summer!

Super Striker Soccer Camp (ages 6 – 12 years)
Talented coaches will show off some mad skills, teaching the fundamentals of the game. Focus will be on individual technique and player development.

Adult/Senior Programs

“Get off the Couch” Conditioning Class (ages 15+ years)
This summer join us in the journey to becoming a new healthier you.
