Preschool/Youth Programs

PRESCHOOL CRAFT CORNER (18 months – 5 yrs)           
Staff will lead you through fun crafts and activities based on holiday themes! Bring home something special for a loved one. Adult participation is required.

KANGAROO KIDS (3 – 5 yrs)
Join us on Tuesdays for fun, interactive play stations! Tumble, jump, crawl and play games with other Kangaroo Kids! Adult participation required.

MINI SPORTS (3 – 5 yrs)
Learn the basic physical literacy skills of baseball and soccer, along with warm up games and activities. Adult participation required.

CHEER CAMP (4-6 yrs)
Stunting, chants, jumps, conditioning, stretching and tumbling! Join two certified Thompson River University cheerleading coaches for a week of games and team bonding activities, based around physical literacy. Participants will learn a cheer routine to music that can be recorded at the end and shared with all; TRU WolfPack props such as pom-poms, signs and megaphones will be used. There will be an opportunity to have a picture taken with a TRU WolfPack Cheerleader in uniform; participants will receive a “TRU WolfPack Pup Squad” t-shirt! What to bring: lunch, water bottle, snack, indoor shoes, comfortable clothing.

SCHOOL AGE CRAFT CORNER (6 – 12 yrs)
Staff will lead you through fun crafts and activities based on holiday themes! Bring home something special for a loved one. Bring a pair of indoor shoes.

CHEER CAMP (6 – 15 yrs)
Stunting, chants, jumps, conditioning, stretching and tumbling! WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE CAMP (7-12 yrs)
This camp is for adventurous youth with daily outdoors activities. Participants will experience using a compass, building a fire and shelters and knowing what to do if lost in the woods! Morning snack is included. What to bring: walking shoes, weather appropriate clothing, lunch, snack, sunscreen, bug spray.

BALL HOCKEY CAMP (7 – 12 yrs)
This beginner’s course focuses on the fundamentals of the game, proper ball handling techniques, passing and more. Youth will be divided into groups based on age and ability. Equipment required: Helmet with faceguard, gloves, running shoes, (shin pads optional). Plastic stick will be provided.

BASEBALL CAMP (7 – 12 yrs)
Play Ball! Participants will experience five days of fun, developing baseball skills through drills and playing games. Snack is included.  What to bring: ball glove, weather appropriate clothing, water bottle, lunch, sunscreen, bug spray.

JUNIOR CHEF CAMP (7 – 12 yrs)                                       
This popular program will have participants creating a variety of tasty dishes, including Easy Bake Cinnamon Buns, Mac and Cheese Balls and Pizza!

ARCHERY CAMP (7 – 15 yrs)                                                             
This camp is designed as a beginner to intermediate program for kids wanting to try it out AND gain more than just a basic knowledge. Kids are bound to have lots of fun in this safe, supervised environment. What to bring: weather appropriate clothing, water bottles, sunscreen, bug spray.

FARMINGTON FAIRWAYS GOLF CAMP (8-12 yrs)
Join instructor Sebastian Rigsby for five jam-packed days of golf skill development, with a full round of golf and BBQ on Friday. Snack is included. Transportation is not provided; pick up and drop off is at the clubhouse at Farmington Fairways. What to bring: set of golf clubs, weather appropriate clothing, walking shoes, water bottles, lunch, sunscreen, bug spray.

Adult/Senior Programs

LINE DANCE WORKSHOP (10+ yrs)
Learn how to do country line dances. Line dances include the Cha Cha Slide, Electric Slide, Boot Scootin’ Boogie, Cotton Eye Joe, Lindi Shuffle and Footloose. What to bring: water, comfortable clothing and shoes.

COUNTRY DANCE WORKSHOP (10+ yrs)
Learn the basics to two-step, jive, waltz and polka. A partner is not required; we can pair you up when you arrive. What to bring: water, comfortable clothing and shoes.

FANCY FOOT BOOTCAMP (12+ yrs)
Using the Canada Sport for Life model, a certified group fitness instructor will move you through a variety of speed drills to push your anaerobic threshold and challenge your coordination working each side of the body equally. What to bring: water, comfortable clothing and shoes.

Join Shell and the City of Dawson Creek for fun-filled evenings of FREE EVENTS this summer! Games, activities, sparkle tattoos, popcorn, prizes and giveaways are in store for you! All events are drop in (no registration required) and open to all ages. Bring the whole family and spend a fun evening with us!
