Emergencies are often unexpected, unpredictable, leaving destruction in its path, and causing harm, injury, or death to the people and communities that lay in its way. The City of Dawson Creek is committed to ensuring that our City is prepared in the case of an emergency situation.
The City has adopted Emergency Program Bylaw No. 4225, 2014 to provide a framework for the Emergency Policy Committee and an outline for the response and recovery programs to deal with disasters and emergencies in our City.
In the case of an emergency situation, the Emergency Program Coordinator, the Emergency Planning Committee, City staff, community groups and citizens would be directly involved to ensure the emergency plan is implemented.
