Every spring, the City of Dawson Creek invites residents and local non-profit organizations to take part in our Spring Sweep initiative! This program helps keep our city clean and safe by removing winter gravel, litter, and debris from public spaces, streets, and boulevards. It’s an opportunity to support those in need, give back to the community, and keep Dawson Creek looking its best.
If your non-profit group is looking to volunteer and earn an honorarium, or if you're a resident in need of assistance, here’s how you can participate:
Seniors (65+) and individuals with permanent physical disabilities can request help clearing winter gravel from their boulevards.

Seniors (65+) and individuals with permanent physical disabilities can request yard waste pick-up from their boulevards.
Yard Waste Collection Guidelines: Yard waste includes sticks, leaves, plants, and other organic debris—no garbage permitted. Seniors requesting yard waste pick-up must have it gathered and ready for collection, as volunteers will only pick up the waste and will not clean yards.
