An Encroachment Permit allows you to use City-owned and/or controlled land. City Council reviews requests on a case-by-case basis. You must have a permit for temporary or permanent use of:

boulevards
road allowances
right-of-ways

Cost

A permit costs is set by our fees and and charges bylaw. Plan costs, land transfer costs, legal costs and advertising costs are all additional.

Cost

Our Fees and Charges Bylaw No. 3932 is updated each year through Council. It lists the amount of every City fee. Costs increase on January 1st every year.
