Dawson Creek Emergency Reception Centre Update: May 21, 2024 18:00hrs

The Dawson Creek Emergency Reception Centre will open for renewals on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 10:00 to 14:00hrs for:

• Hotel renewals
• Food renewals
• Additional services such as income assistance and medical needs

Evacuees who received their voucher by etransfer last time will be automatically renewed. Any issues on etransfer please call 1-844-537-7377 for support.

Reception Centre Location: Sudeten Hall, Walter Wright Pioneer Village, 1901 Alaska Hwy, Dawson Creek, BC 

Supports will be extended for another 7-day period until May 28, 2024. This additional 7-day period will allow evacuees to continue to receive supports without the stress of re-registration, while re-entry activities take place and allow for a measured return of residents to the community. There will be no changes to accommodations that have been issued to May 28, 2024.

Reminder: All Evacuation Order changes, including re-entry information, will come from Fort Nelson First Nation EOC or Northern Rockies Regional Municipality EOC. Please keep an eye on their communications for more updates and information. 

Anyone requiring transportation to return to their community will need to contact by end of day Thursday, May 23, 2024 to arrange.
