Notice to Property Owners: Property Taxes Due by July 2, 2024

The 2024 Property Tax Notices were mailed on May 17, 2024.  Taxpayers, especially new owners, who have not received their Tax Notice, should contact the City Hall Tax Department immediately at 250-784-3608 or by email.

HOME OWNER GRANT – MUST BE CLAIMED EACH YEAR

The Home Owner Grant program is administered by the Province of BC. Home owners can apply online at www.gov.bc.ca/homeownergrant or by phone at 1-888-355-2700. Home Owner Grant applications are no longer accepted at City Hall. Property Owners are encouraged to pay their property taxes and claim the Provincial Home Owner Grant, if eligible, by July 2, 2024 to avoid penalties. 

If you miss the July 2, 2024 deadline, a 10% penalty will be applied on the current tax balance as per Municipal Tax Regulation 426/2003.

You can pay your taxes:

• in person at most financial institutions or through online banking
• in person at City Hall, 10105 12A Street, Dawson Creek, BC, or
• by credit card 
  • Please note that there is a 2% convenience fee added to the total for credit cards used at City Hall
