Lupines are a very showy herbaceous perennial, with a wide variety of colors including: blue, pink, yellow, red, white and even bicolor. Large leaved lupines have distinct palmately compound leaves. Lupines can range in height from 2 – 4 ft. (0.6 – 1.2 m). Lupines can grow in a variety of conditions and locations including: fields and roadsides, but usually prefers cool climates with damp to wet soils. Lupines also like full sun exposure but are also suited to partial sun locations.
