NOTICE OF PERMISSIVE EXEMPTION FOR 2026 PERMISSIVE TAX EXEMPTION BYLAW NO. 4618, 2025.

Section 224 of the Community Charter provides that a Council may, by bylaw, exempt land or improvements or both that are owned or held by a charitable, philanthropic or other not for profit corporation and that Council considers are used for a purpose that is directly related to the purposes of the corporation.

Notice is given under section 227 of the Community Charter that the Council of the City of Dawson Creek intends to consider, at its Regular Meeting on October 14, 2025, a bylaw exempting from property taxation for the year 2026 to the land and improvements of the properties itemized below.  Members of the public are invited to attend the Meeting at 9:00 am or view the livestream on the City of Dawson Creek Facebook page.

*These amounts are based on the proposed 2026 6.5% tax rate increase.
