NOTICE OF PROPERTY DISPOSITION - Dawson Creek Municipal Public Library.

Pursuant to Section 26 of the Community Charter, and in accordance with Section 94 of the Community Charter, the City of Dawson Creek gives notice of its intention to provide a License to Occupy to the Dawson Creek Municipal Library Board for the City-owned building located at 1001 McKellar Avenue, currently known as the Dawson Creek Municipal Public Library.

The purpose of the License to Occupy is to formalize the Dawson Creek Municipal Library Board’s continued use and operation of the premises for the provision of municipal public library services.

The proposed License to Occupy is for a five-year term, commencing July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2031, with the option to renew for two additional five-year terms, subject to Council approval.

The consideration to be received by the City for the License to Occupy is a licence fee of $1.00, plus applicable GST, for the term.

Under the proposed agreement, the City will also provide an annual contribution to the Dawson Creek Municipal Library Board in the amount approved by Council through the City’s annual budget process.
