PROPOSED NEW POLICY – Recreation Facility Allocation Policy 

During the Regular Meeting of Council held on October 14, 2025, Council proposed a new Recreation Facility Allocation Policy, which repeals and replaces the existing Ice Allocation Policy.

A summary of the new Recreation Facility Allocation Policy includes the following:

  • Expanded Scope
  • Addition of Definitions & User Categories
  • Priority of Use
  • Facility Seasons
  • Method of Allocation & Scheduling
  • Third-Party Operated Facilities
  • Fees & Charges
  • Cancellations of Bookings
  • User Group Responsibilities
  • Code of Conduct

Members of the public who believe they may be impacted by the proposed changes to the City of Dawson Creek's policy are invited to submit their written comments by no later than 4:30 p.m. on November 18, 2025. Comments may be directed to Tab Young, Corporate Officer, via:
