News & Announcements
The City implemented an online point of sales (POS) system at the water sales facilities during the summer of 2022. This is a notice to any account owners who have a previous FOB that will no longer work on the new system. Water Sale users can contact the City to switch over the old credits to the new POS system, or if they are no longer using the water stations they can request a refund of their FOB prepayment.
The City will be attempting to contact account owners to transfer or refund any credits from the old water sales FOB system. If you may have an account you are encouraged to contact the City before the end of December 2022 to receive the balance on the account.
- Call City Hall at 250-784-3600
- Staff available Monday to Friday 8:30am-4:30pm
- Email the Finance Dept to request your transfer or refund
- Staff will respond in 1-2 business days
If I do have credits left what can I do?
- They can be transferred to your new online POS account
- Credits can be transferred to your City utilities account
- Credits can be refunded (note it could take up to 4 weeks for your refund to be processed)
The City of Dawson Creek is extremely grateful to PacifiCan for selecting the City of Dawson Creek’s Multi-Use Outdoor Facility project for a $314K funding grant. The City received funding through the Canada Community Revitalization Fund (CCRF), which aims to help communities across Canada build and improve community infrastructure projects so they can rebound from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The funding will rehabilitate the City’s aging tennis court into a multi-use outdoor facility. This project, which started in October 2022, is long-awaited by the community and will make an important impact on Dawson Creek residents.
