NOTICE OF PROPERTY DISPOSITION AND PROVISION OF ASSISTANCE – DAWSON CREEK ART GALLERY & SOUTH PEACE ART SOCIETY

Pursuant to sections 24, 26 and 94 of the Community Charter, the City of Dawson Creek gives notice of its intention to enter into a Facility Management / Lease Agreement with the South Peace Art Society for the operation and management of the Dawson Creek Art Gallery, including the delivery of arts and cultural programming.

The premises will be leased for $1.00, plus applicable GST, for the five-year term. The lease is below market value, thereby providing assistance to the Society.

The agreement includes the following buildings located on City-owned property:

• 816 Alaska Avenue – Art Gallery
• 820 Alaska Avenue – Elevator
• Small building located in front of the Art Gallery – Art Gallery Office

The Facility Management / Lease Agreement is for a five-year term, beginning January 1, 2027, and ending December 31, 2031, with the option to renew for one additional five-year term, subject to Council approval.

The approved annual Fixed Management fee to support the operation and management of the Dawson Creek Art Gallery, is as follows:
