NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR PROPOSED OFFICIAL COMMUNITY PLAN AMENDMENT (26-02) BYLAW NO. 4642, 2026

TAKE NOTICE that a Public Hearing will be held at 10:00 a.m., at the Peace River Regional District Boardroom, 1981 Alaska Avenue, Dawson Creek, BC V1G 4H8, on Monday, September 21, 2026, with respect to Official Community Plan Amendment (26-02) Bylaw No. 4642, 2026.

Members of the public may make representations respecting matters contained in the proposed bylaw at that time or may submit written comments by email for inclusion on the Public Hearing agenda by 12:00 pm (noon) Friday, September 18, 2026.

Members of the public are also invited to attend the Public Hearing to ask questions about the OCP Amendment or may view livestream on the City of Dawson Creek Facebook page. 

The purpose of the proposed Official Community Plan amendment is to change the land use designation of the three subject properties to “Parks, Natural Areas and Trails” to establish a consistent land use framework for the City-owned properties along the Dawson Creek corridor.

A copy of the proposed City of Dawson Creek Official Community Plan Amendment (26-02) Bylaw No. 4642, 2026 may be inspected in the Planning Department at the temporary City Hall location in the Dawson Mall, 11000 8th Street, Dawson Creek, BC, from September 11, 2026 to September 21, 2026, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays. Additionally, the bylaw may be viewed online via the City of Dawson Creek website.
