NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR PROPOSED ZONING AMENDMENT (26-02) BYLAW NO. 4638, 2026

TAKE NOTICE that a Public Hearing will be held at 10:00 a.m., at the Peace River Regional District Boardroom, 1981 Alaska Avenue, Dawson Creek, BC V1G 4H8, on Monday, July 27, 2026, with respect to Zoning Amendment (26-02) Bylaw No. 4638, 2026.


Members of the public may make representations respecting matters contained in the proposed bylaw at that time or may submit written comments by email to admin@dawsoncreek.ca or by fax to 250-782-3203 for inclusion on the Public Hearing agenda by 12 pm (noon) Friday, July 24, 2026.


Members of the public are also invited to attend the Public Hearing to ask questions about the zoning Amendment or may view livestream on the City of Dawson Creek Facebook page.


The purpose of the Zoning Amendment is to change the zoning designation of the property located at 1636 99 Avenue, shown outlined and hatched on the sketch below, from "Light Industrial" to "General Commercial" to support a proposed commercial use.


A copy of the proposed City of Dawson Creek Zoning Amendment (26-02) Bylaw No. 4638, 2026 may be inspected in the Planning Department at City Hall, 10105 12a Street, Dawson Creek, BC on Friday, July 17, 2026 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.


Thereafter, a copy of the proposed City of Dawson Creek Zoning Amendment (26-01) Bylaw No. 4638, 2026 may be inspected in the Planning Department at the temporary City Hall location in the Dawson Mall, 11000 8th Street, Dawson Creek, BC, from July 20, 2026 to July 27, 2026, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. Additionally, the bylaw may be viewed online via the City of Dawson Creek Website.
