Updated Preliminary Results - 2026 General Local Election
The City of Dawson Creek is issuing updated preliminary results for the 2026 General Local Election. During a review of the preliminary results released on October 17, 2026, election staff found an error in how some of the vote totals were added together. Specifically, votes from the second day of advance voting were not included in the preliminary totals for some candidates.
The votes were counted correctly, but some were missed when the preliminary results were added together. Staff have corrected the error and updated the preliminary results to include all votes.
The updated results remain preliminary. The Chief Election Officer will officially declare the election results on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. The City thanks candidates and members of the public for their patience while staff complete this process.
The updated preliminary results for the 2026 General Local Election, held on Saturday, October 17, 2026, are as follows:
