Demolition Permits
You need a demolition permit before you remove any building or structure within Dawson Creek. Complete a Building Permit Application to request a permit.
Before you start
- Check for asbestos before demolition
- Direct questions to the Fort St. John WorkSafe BC office
- Make a BC 1 Call
- Shut off all overhead and underground services (hydro, gas, water, phone, etc.)
- Submit a Building Permit Application
- Fill out a site profile
- Submit a Fire Safety Plan
Costs
Our Fees and Charges Bylaw is updated each year through Council. You can find permit fees in Schedule 'E'. Costs increase on January 1st every year.
You may also need a renovation permit before making any changes to your home or property. If you are demolishing any building or structure within city limits you need a demolition permit. Contact our team for more information.
