Temporary Use Permits

Temporary Use Permits (TUPs):

  • allow you to use land in a way that is not permitted by our Zoning Bylaw
  • specify conditions of the temporary use
  • regulate the construction of buildings or structures for the specified use

Your permit application must go through City Council. Our Official Community Plan provides the conditions that you must meet to receive a TUP. You may have to complete the following in order to receive a permit:

  • Demolish or remove a building or structure
  • Restore land described in the permit to the condition listed in the permit by a specific date

Our Fees and Charges Bylaw is updated each year through Council. Costs increase on January 1st every year.
