The City of Dawson Creek has an Emergency Program focused on prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery. The City is legislated to have an Emergency Response Plan that identifies priority hazards, communication plans, and a team ready to respond to emergency events.

Get prepared
Emergencies can happen at any time without warning. With a little preparation, you can respond quickly to help yourself and others.
Northeast BC alerts
Receive emergency alerts on your phone, landline, or email. Sign up for the Northeast BC Alert System (Everbridge).
Emergency kits
In an emergency, residents should be prepared. If a “shelter in place” order is issued, residents must stay home for up to 72 hours. If an evacuation is ordered, residents should be prepared with a grab and go bag.
