Paying a Utility Bill

The City of Dawson Creek sends out utility bills by email or mail every two months. The utility bill includes a water charge, a sewer charge, which is 60% of the water charge, and a scavenger fee. Sign up for e-billing to avoid paying a $2.00 fee for paper billing.

There are several ways to pay your utility bill:

  • Pre-authorized payment
  • Online banking
  • In person at City Hall

Pre-authorized payment

Automatically pay your bill from your chequing account with pre-authorized payment. Complete a Pre-authorized Payment Form and email it with a void cheque to our Utilities Clerk at utility_bills@dawsoncreek.ca. You can also drop it off in person at City Hall.

Online banking

Add “City of Dawson Creek – Utilities” as a payee through your online banking. Use the 7 digit account number found on your utility bill to make a payment. Do not include any decimals, for example 12345.01 would be entered as 1234501.
