Fire Rescue

City of Dawson Creek Fire Rescue is a full-service, professional fire department. The department responds to numerous types of incidents including fire suppression, road rescue, hazmat, confined space entry, and wildland fires. The Dawson Creek Fire Department Master Plan (2012) has more information about the department.

Fire prevention and education

A core service of the City of Dawson Creek Fire Rescue is to provide fire inspection and education services. View the fire prevention page for more information on inspections requirements and education resources.

Burn permits

Planning on burning yard waste? You will need a Burning Permit.

Auxiliary firefighters

Interested in becoming an auxiliary firefighter? You must be physically fit and at least 18 years of age. Training occurs locally on Tuesday evenings. Application packages can be picked up at the Dawson Creek Firehall (10101-12A Street).
