May 5-11, 2024 is Emergency Preparedness Week. At the City of Dawson Creek, we are preparing in three key ways and asking residents to do the same: register for alerts, signup for news and volunteer for Emergency Support Services (ESS).

At the Regular Meeting of Council held on March 25th, Council adopted changes to the Fees and Charges Bylaw. The changes include a shift in prices over the next few years, working towards a universal rate for a multi-facility punch card in Dawson Creek. In the future, patrons will be able to use this punch card at the arenas, climbing wall, pool or recreation programs.

"BC Transit’s Umo (pronounced “you-mo”) electronic fare system is now live in the Dawson Creek Regional Transit System. Umo introduces contactless payment methods and new fare products that improve the transit experience by allowing riders to pick the best options for their lifestyle and travel habits."
