Dawson Creek has over 35 parks and green spaces within city boundaries. You will find playgrounds, picnic tables, trails, fitness equipment, horseshoe pitches and more.

Dawson Creek has over 35 parks and green spaces within city boundaries. You will find playgrounds, picnic tables, trails, fitness equipment, horseshoe pitches and more.

There are over 4.5 kilometers of trails in Dawson Creek. The Dawson Trail is part of the Trans Canada Trail and winds through the community from 20 Street near Tubby's RV Park all the way past the Dawson Creek Mall. It's a great option for biking, skateboarding, walking and more. The trail is highlighted in red on the map below, with several access points near parking spaces, including:

Take your canine friend for a walk or visit Barbaree Park at 107 Ave and 15 St, which is the current designated dog park. Pet Waste stations can be found at a number of parks.

    • Large, accessible playground great for all ages and abilities, as well as two smaller playgrounds great for younger children
  • Mile 0 Rotary Park - 1949 Alaska Ave
    • Two large playgrounds great for all ages located beside a future pump track for biking enthusiasts, which is currently under construction
  • Old Pool Site - 105 Ave and 10 St
    • Small playground site downtown, great for young children
  • Tremblay park - 1404 115 Ave
    • One medium-sized playground for older children and smaller playground for younger kids in a quiet neighbourhood

The Seniors Outdoor Fitness Park is an outdoor recreational facility located in Kin Park, across from the Health Unit. The circuit features 16 user-friendly stations with signage showing proper exercise technique, correct body position and target muscle groups. It's a great way to stay healthy and fit in the outdoors.

The Skateboard Park is located next our arenas. This facility has about 10,000 square feet of skating area within the 14,000 square foot park. Users of the park are encouraged to play safe using proper safety equipment, be courteous to others, keep the park clean and have fun.
